ADUs are Legal in Edina!

Congratulations, Edina! Last night, April 16th, the Edina City Council voted to approve ADUs. Chris, the “ADU Guru,” assisted the City Planners in the creation of the Accessory Dwelling Unit (“ADU”) ordinance.

We are excited at the potential options now available to Edina residents. ADUs, also called “granny flats” or “above-garage apartments” create flexibility for homeowners. ADUs can serve many uses, including multi-generational living, teen hang-out space, private guest suite, or rental property.
